Evolution Requires Innovation

If we want to experience a positive change in the world, we got to find new/better ways to contribute to the progress. In other words, to evolve, we are required to innovate.

With that in mind, this blog post will include:

  • A list on how to drive innovation
  • A reflection on what is creativity
  • The meaning of a creative session
  • The way I’m contributing to the change
  • A new and better way to communicate my message

That said, we feed our collective capacity to innovate by:

  • Collaborating with other people
  • Experimenting and iterating
  • Learning from our failures and standing our ground
  • Staying resilient
  • Having the courage to think differently
  • Igniting constructive conversations
  • Holding spaces with a common intention
  • Growing our curiosity and capacity of awe
  • Taking time to consume diverse information
  • Doing secondary and/or primary research
  • Brainstorming freely
  • Making and organizing thoughtful lists
  • Sharing/publishing our work
  • Letting the idea pass through a period of incubation
  • Taking walks in nature
  • Optimizing our spaces to avoid distractions and stressors
  • Revising old ideas & connecting the dots
  • Using new & emerging technologies to our convenience
  • Meditating frequently
  • Optimizing our minds to be more creative

But what is Creativity?

Creativity is the exercise of being in full acceptance and immersed in the cycle of creation and observation. To flow in a natural re-organization. To be free from expectations, judgments, and other states of stress.
It’s being/feeling relaxed while taking action to aid our mental processes. Such actions may include regular physical activity, a proper eating habit, staying hydrated, creating a space that optimizes concentration, curating a proper set of resources, etc.

Flow, breathe, trust, believe in it & let yourself be free in the creation of new ideas.

Creativity is the dance between full acceptance and presence.

Creative Sessions

A creative session is a fertile time-space where ideas can mingle, swap, and turn into new forms. Is a place that “allows different perspectives to come together & turn into something bigger than the sum of their parts”(-Steven Johnson). A gathering that heals, refreshes, aligns, concentrates intention and presence, brings out a space of full acceptance and flow. Bringing an increased energy that reflects upon higher levels of introspection & clarity towards innovation.

Elements that enhance the session:

  • Clear intentions.
  • Unconditional love & presence
  • An open heart & mind
  • Exercises of throat Chakra activation through chanting/singing
  • Stretching/moving the body to release any stuck energy and to ground the self to the moment
  • Being free from expectations

Art for the Earth & Mini Postcard

The Art for the Earth project intends to bring this message of collective progress through the intersections of the talents and resources that I have available in this lifetime. That said, I created a mini poster (that arrives early Feb!) that brings clarity to my message and intention. Which as soon as they arrive, I’ll be including them along with every piece of art that you buy from my Art for the Earth project.
Here’s both the image and transcription of what I’m including in one of the sides of the 4” x 6” poster:

ART FOR THE EARTH is a:

  • Visual mantra for a solution-focused mindset
  • Mindful initiative that invites to act in authentic ways
  • Promotion that raises awareness on the challenges of today
  • Great reason to spark constructive conversations
  • Lifelong project of growth
  • Ripple effect

Putting things in perspective, this project started as the answer to the following question:

How can I make full use of my talents and resources to benefit the planet?

This personal finding came as the outcome of an introspective session where unconditional love and full presence were key elements in the creative process. Through that focused intention, the consequent clarity and flow brought these ideas into paper and then into this present process.

From this experience I’ve been reassured that worry, fear, anxiety, hate, resentment, impatience, resistance, attachment, expectations, and indulgence; are all just blinding hindrances that keeps us from taking action, and thus from reaching our full potential.

“A veces me distraigo, siempre me perdono. Infinita iteración.”

Now that we’re here, I invite you to be the greatest expression of your being, to learn from the love within and to share what you learn through your journey. I invite you to reciprocate love and to be a conscious part of this expansion. I ask, freed from expectations, for this message to inspire a ripple effect of authentic action towards the betterment of our planet.

This poster is hence intended to serve you as an anchor of clarity towards your path of realization and growth.

As a final note:

To live a creative life in the modern day, one needs to retrain the brain.

We ought to let go of past agreements, anxieties, bad habits, & toxic norms. That said, I invite you to exercise an open mind, and to examine any limitations. Stop the cynicism and the avoidance towards the unknown.
